Engineered
Why choose an Elka Engineered flooring? The answer is simple – its strength, flexibility of installation and stability. Engineered Flooring impersonates a Solid Wood flooring perfectly, but is actually constructed of 3 or more layers of real wood, with its top layer being genuine hardwood. Engineered floors strength comes from each of its layers being stacked in opposite directions, so it can be used in any area of the home, including conservatories and in conjunction with underfloor heating.
Elka’s Engineered flooring has all the beauty and aesthetics of a Solid Wood floor, but without any of the restrictions. It comes in a variety of thicknesses, with varying thicknesses of top hardwood wear layers – ensuring you can choose the right Engineered Floor for you. The 21-22mm thick Engineered floors are structural with a 6mm wear layer, this means that they’re load bearing and are suitable to be fixed straight to joists.
